This photo, taken from the 'Acropolis' of the ruined citadel of Xochicalco, looks north toward the city of Cuernevaca in the hazy distance. The blue-tinged mountains that circle the site can just be seen beyond the city. The flat grey area in front of the green, full-leaved tree, and to the left of the small temple pyramid, is one of the site's ceremonial ballcourts.
